about wellness fair

may be tight due to the times, but people still need to have medical
check-ups and receive treatment for illnesses. The second annual
Foothills Green Wellness Fair was held June 21, at 816 Union St.
The Fair included various low-cost or no-cost health screenings
for Hepatitis C, blood pressure, kidneys, blood glucose and other

Director of Family Services
and Resident receive award by Jefferson County Department of Health
and Environment

Scott Romero,
Director of Volunteer and Family Services, and Rocky Mountain HDC
resident Barbara Leyba were selected as the one of the 2007 Public
Health Champions of the Year by the Jefferson County Department
of Health and Environment for their efforts in bringing health and
wellness to the resident of Foothills Green. Each year the Department
selects to Jefferson County who have made a significant contribution
to public health. Congratulations Scott and Barbara!

HDC is the recipient of the 2008 Extreme Marketing Makeover for
Nonprofits from the Denver
Office of Strategic Partnerships and Idée-Force.
As a part of the Makeover, Idée-Force will help us improve
and strengthen our brand image, in addition to, developing a new
and improved marketing materials. We are very excited about the
Marketing Makeover. Check back in the coming months to see our new
look.

HDC invited over 250 guests to view the production of "Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" playing at the Littleton Town
Hall Arts Center. It was a special celebration for partners, funders,
local business people and members of the faith community who have
supported the RMHDC over the years. Proceeds from the performance
are to benefit the Family Services Program at Rocky Mountain HDC.

Tawnya
Bockman receives Salute to Successful Women Award from Stride
June
30, 2007
On
June 30, Tawnya Bockman, Family Services Coordinator at Willow Green,
received the Excellent Contribution to Stride with a Salute to Successful
Women Award for her diligent work at Willow Green. Stride works
with Willow Green to provide case management services to our residents
who were formerly homeless. Stride commented that “Tawnya continues
to be an asset to Stride for her support to our families and her
dedication in providing information, emergency services and exciting
fun activities for all”. Family Services staff could
not agree more with Stride's view of Tawnya. Keep up the great work!
