Current Volunteer Opportunites

Computer Instructor/ Youth Computer Lab Assistant

Technology moves at the speed of light. Can you help people get started and keep up? Do you have a knack for sharing internet and computer skills with others? There are ongoing opportunities to provide basic and intermediate computer instruction to adults and older children. People in our multi-cultural communities need your technological assistance. Please help us log on and continue to make a difference in people's lives each day.

Youth Tutor / Mentor

I before E, except after C, Two plus two equals four. Seems easy, doesn't it? Many children may not agree. Families in our multi-cultural communities are single-parents with children in need of extra attention in meeting their educational needs. Tutors are paired with students and provide assistance with developing a skill in a specific subject area or help with completing homework assignments. Tutors serve a dual role as mentors to provide direction, encouragement and reinforcement. We request a commitment of one to two hours per week, especially during the school year.

Youth Recreation and Activities Volunteer

Are you handy with arts and crafts? Do you love sports? Do you love working with kids? If so, we have a highly rewarding opportunity for you. Children living in our affordable suburban communities need caring, patient and compassionate individuals to assist with many after school activities. We focus on providing alternatives to the negative aspects of society and stress positive behaviors to enrich the lives of the young people we serve. We make having fun and learning a priority. Do you have what it takes?
