After-School Program
and Youth Leaders
Rocky
Mountain HDC's After-School Program offers our youth at-risk a safe,
nurturing environment with constructive activities during non-school
hours that gives them the support they need to be successful and
to develop into healthy, productive adults. Through our After-School
Program, young people ages 6-16 develop self-awareness and gain
confidence by witnessing positive models of behavior. Youth activities
are provided at little or no cost at the onsite community centers
which offer safety and convenience, and transportation is provided
for field trips.
Rocky
Mountain HDC's After-School Program is broken down into four components:
Academic
Enhancement
Recreational
Activities
Arts
and Crafts
Leadership
and Life Skills Curriculum
Goals for these programs
include improving self-esteem, self-confidence, leadership skills
and conflict resolution.
